I’m sure many of you been wondering what the developers of The World of Magic got on their minds! I had a chance to have a talk over a cup of coffee with the producer ’Kang’ from the development team of The World of Magic and decided to share it with our fans. So check it out
Hello, this is Kang from team TUNG, the development team of The World of Magic.
I developed several RPG games in Com2uS, and since I joined the The World of Magic team last summer, I’ve been working on various updates like dungeons, arenas, pets and other features.
2) How is The World of Magic different from other RPGs? How is it unique?
TWOM is an MMORPG, which is not a common genre in mobile games. What differentiates it from other RPGs is that you can enjoy it online with many other users. And the most unique feature of The World of Magic is that you can join either empire or kingdom to compete against other parties.
3) What is the secret of The World of Magic for having so many fans for such a long time?
TWOM has been updated for the last 6 years (and still is) since its release for QWERTY phones in 2006 (Released for smartphones in April 2010). It means that 6 years worth of efforts and improvements has been put into this game! There are lots of contents for you to enjoy as well.
And of course, every one of users supporting The World of Magic is our strength and driving force!
The number of users in The World of Magic increased recently (which is great!) and we are working hard to fix the traffic issues. And new update schedule is a little delayed due to several users trying to hack and cheat on the game. But after all our plans are carried out, I’m sure users will be able to have better game-play environment.
5) Can you tell us advantages and disadvantages of The World of Magic as a designer of the game?
For a disadvantage, The World of Magic has been developed with dot graphics so it’s difficult to support high quality graphics.
For an advantage, you can choose gender, hairstyle and color of your own character and decorate it with hats and armors later on. Another advantage is that you can have fun raising your own character into a Warrior, Ranger, or Magician; each with its own distinctive characteristic.
6) Anything else you would like to add?
