[Rant] Game Rules for The World of Magic (IMO)

First of all, there is guaranteed flaming/hate in this thread and I know it may be a bad idea to post this, but I believe it deserves to be worth clearing up.

The purpose of this thread is to clarify something about the topic of scamming.

What exactly is scamming? There are MANY MANY ways to define it, but my definition of it is losing an item/character/object to another person(s) without consent or via devious methods.

No where in the rules does it says that scamming is not allowed. If you read each and every rule, it does not say anything about the particular topic of scamming.

HOWEVER, it does say that, "When actions not listed in this chart are deemed to have disturbed the company's game operation or players' rights to enjoy in the game, the GM can take necessary steps to cease action.

So yeah. Any thoughts on this issue? In my opinion, not every case of scamming can be considered "bannable."

I will justify my reasoning for this later. In the meanwhile, I hope to see other people's opinions on this topic.

Scamming scammers to regain lost items/accounts shouldn't be bannable, but every other instance should, including scamming a scammer just because they're a scammer.

A scam is a scam, no matter how big or small the item / amount was stolen, and upsets many players, not just the scammee.

Agreed. Not all scams are worth a ban, especially if it is a scammer you're scamming. But most of the time I don't like scams especially if they're just a random person or your friend.

While scamming a scammer is not right, but it isn't wrong. It's not the right way to settle the issue, but if it ever leads it that being the only solution, then so be it.

There's really nothing to say. Your post has nothing for discussion. Anything you wanted to ask, you answered yourself. You produced your own rhetorical question.

Bads will be bads.

Two wrongs don't necessarily make a right. We all have our morals. We all have our values. You made your choice to fulfill your own greed/ambition/whatever "justifiable" reason you want to insert. Scamming is something this particular community frowns upon and with good reason.

There's some grey areas unfortunately. There are some necessary evils. None of this or any "scamming back" aforementioned in any thread or instance is righteous or walking the line of a strong moral conduct or necessary.

To each his own, but be weary of the ripple effect each of your choices have.

Come on guys! Don't be so pessimistic.
There are some truly good people who have good intentions.
Just like what iFlow said if your intentions are to scam yours or a friend's items back from a scammer. That won't necessarily make you a scammer again.
What I said has already been said but I just want to point out that there are honest people out there too, not everyone is greedy.
