OK here is a post on my team mind you this is for android right now i just got an itouch and am working on getting a good team for it so i'll post this one for now. also anyone who updates to 5.0 on android and tries to go back it does not work properly. you will be playing version 4.o but the android device device saves your 5.0 cards and uses those . unless your rooted and pull your game info off it first before you updated. any way enough rambling here we go.

I have too many platinum batters to choose which ones are best, so for now this is the team i use. now if i can only get my itouch to the 4.0 version with good cards that would be great . lol so i'll be working on both devices to add new players i'll keep this post updated with any changes.

Ok so on my itouch I just got a platinum CJ Wilson. I put him in my rotation to give him a shot and so far 2 game he's had a shutout and given up 2 runs. Not to bad of a start for 5.0 version. Might I point out I was dissapointed by his pitch selection. He has a change-up,4 seam,and slider. Not exactly my idea of great pitches. But I guess time will tell

I had a special CJ that I used for two seasons until I got my Plat T. Lincecum, and CJ was a very solid pitcher for me. Was able to generate a ton of strikeouts with the slider.

Thanks tilt i've gotten very lucky. I actually have 2 platinum choose cards,2 platinum Braun cards,2 platinum ichiro cards,and 2 platinum tulo cards.

Alright so i've been playing more on my itouch and I must say I hate it. Lol I love the fact that even if I have a bad game I can rack up 4 to 6 thousand points. But my pitchers constantly giving up 2 to 4 runs a game is insane. I find most of the runs I give up are 2 or 3 run homers. Hopefully this changes as I get better pitchers. Any ideas if this will happen alot?

I am not able to get many players above 4 LVL. I got rid of my Tulo's...I just didn't like the numbers so I combined him. Now I am playing them before I get rid of them. A low number miracle hitter I just put in and is working awesome is Hunter Pence. Hope you find a bunch with your testing too. oh, another 1 I found that is a pitcher is M.Latos. I never heard of him before but he is good.

If you want to level guys up past 5 you have to spend money to get the level up packs

Well it's possible to go past LV5. I've leveled one guy to LV6 so far. It's just extremely rare and unlikely.

well i do buy the level up card sucess when i want to level up a good player and have bought the combination sucess cards so i stay the same or usually better level cards. i also have bought the expanded pitcher and batter boxes which hold 48 cards each so i would fill them up and then combine them. which resulted in alot of my platinum cards. also i would buy from green packs alot after racking up alot of points. i got some good cards there too but also alot of cards i could use to combine with.
@zigzzagz . i just recently started getting alot of cards in general with defense or trainer maybe it's from the 5.0 update not sure but i've seen less and less slugger and prophet cards appearing.

Ok i'm starting to get fed up with the AI doing whatever it takes toto get at least 2 runs a game. I love how the AI has a terrible defensive outfield yet manages to track down anything I hit. Just a dumb rant

Yep, I posted the same thing in a different thread that the AI is programmed to score 2 runs no matter what. I've had pitchers pulling frozen ropes into the corner and somehow getting triples with two outs so the next batter can hit a little tweaner that drops in frot of my outfielders to score that second run.

I know that i figured the way it will play out i'll have a little less endurance but the loc and pow will be higher. I was just questioning which one to use because one has lefty killer and the other has triumph. I figure it would be better with triumph since that increases poor batting with no one on base as opposed to just being better against left handed batters

So long as the first one isn't a dud card, stick with the first. Bumping the second up to L6 is only an extra 15 points total. If spread out evenly (which it may not necessarily do but just for ex.) you end up with a 2nd card that goes 102/100/93. So at L6 it's 8 points less in total, or an avg of 2.66 per stat. So unless you have a substandard, dud- or cursed card #1 should stay and 2 should either be eaten up by the combine or if you really like Verlander, kept in a corner for a rainy day. That day being a possible longterm slump, or death of card 1. Although I must say I've only seen batting cards die, and more than a few. Worst I've seen from a pitching card is a slump that lasted maybe 10 starts and saw his (spec Halladay) era jump from 1.0ish to about the low to mid 2's. After which he became my monster again. This was in season 2 and now, 2+ seasons later he's still my #1 guy in general, though Lincecum is 2 games up in wins. And he's only a spec in an all plat pen. Just saying, I haven't seen a pitcher die, and Halladay remains from mid 1st season so I doubt you need worry about a pitcher dying. My current verlander is a beast almost done with my 3rd season and he has a 1.02 era but i'm just curious if the triumph would be a better attribute to have rather then left killer. And so at level 6 my new verlander is 103,101,94 with no experience.

Ok just finished my 3rd season of course my Bautista led most batting categories and even finished with a .500 average. So I figure I have tons of points i'll go buy some cards I purchase a platinum pack yep 200 inning jump cards. So I figure one more won't hurt. Ban I pull my 2nd platinum pujols. But the sad thing is i'm noticing with v5.0 the card numbers are not as good. His had eighty killer,scorer,defense. And at 96,92,94 quite dismal I figured even if iI level him up to 8 and with experience he would still be Behind my current one by like 15 points. This is where we need to be able to trade. I'm sure someone would have use for a b defensive platinum pujols when leveledbup should be over 100 in con,pow,eye.

Ok well starting my 4th season and now 34 games in my bautista as usual is killing it. He is batting .564 with 28 hrs already. I'd say not bad my pujols has 18 and Hamilton 17.

I just had mmy day ruined. I know a few of us have been in this situatuon before. So i'm playing Toronto and morrow is pitching that submarine pitching bastard. Not to mention hhe has light speed,triumph and right killer as attributes. My verlander is pitching. So nothing doing for either team I have a few scattered hits. Then the 5th my pujols leads of the inning with a homerun. Nicceee then 3 straight outs. It's now the 8th iinning and my heart is pounding thinking about that perfect game very pitch i'm thinking ok here it goes. Nope I put them down 1,2,3 ninth I get squat they get back up first batter fly out to right oomg 2 outs a way the pinch hit and put j.Molina in a normal card i'm thinking sweet no biggie first 2 pitches strikes I think ok time to back off throw a few intentional balls. I pitch a curve way outside and low behold I hear the crack sound wtf I think maybe i'll catch it nope just made it over the right field wall for a homer oh yeah his stats 78,82,75 no attributes I mean come on how the f did he reach that ball I threw. So now it's a 1-1 game I strike out the next 2 batters. We go to the 11th inning I manage a run . They get up out 1 then a double. Out number 2 next up yep j.Molina this time he barely hits the ball right down the pipe. Out 3 end of game. So flipping pissed off right now.just had to share my almost perfect game.

yeah... in a really important situation.
They just don't swing if it is ball, and if i throw strike, then it's freaking homerun or line drive to right field line. Yes, we all been there.

Strangely, my perfect game (4 so far among 9 seasons) always happened when I least expected. My first one was 4th game of the Com2US series. (J.Lester Hero pitched)

So i've been going through a major offensive slump i'm about 80 games into season 4 . I get to play tthe rangers today. Well my offense finally woke up. It starts off with my bautista hitting his 50th Homer a 2 run shot. Then nothing again the AI gets 4 runs in the 3rd then I go on a tear. In the end of it all I hit aa total of 11 homers. I finally got that 4 homer run in a row reward. But with the most unlikely people. Starts off with ichiro,112,99,104-defense,slugger,push hit then jeter 99,110,116- push hit,lefty killer,slugger, now figgins 106,98,96- push hit,eagle eye,defense and ends with Mauer 106.105.101-eagle eye,prophet,right killer. All in all i finally hit 4 in a row. Also jeter,mauer,choo, all hit 2 homers a piece way to wake up offense. Has anyone else gotten the 4 homers in a row reward?

I know I just said to my daughter that I probably shouldn't complain my stats are still pretty good considering my pujols has 35 homers and Hamilton and jeter both have 25 hrs each
