Isn't there a type of bank to store away certain items instead of carrying it around where ever one goes? Or is there a way to expand the inventory slots?

Buy a bigger bag.

There currently is no bank but you can expand inventory slots by purchasing more bags at vendors or by purchasing the expanded inventory from the item mall under the menu option.
