How do I get ancient coins and black iron ores?

Title says everything. I'm pretty sure that ancient coins are from those red monsters in kataru(I'm in Siras) but just to be sure.....I have NO IDEA where you get black iron ores from...:( Oh! I forgot! How do you get through the warp gate in kataru? All it says is ..... :(
