new characters only stay in siras!?

I'm baffled why I have to create an entirely new account just to create characters between Siras and Lanos. I don't understand why my whole account has to be tied to a faction. Please explain.

This is how the game was designed. I do believe the game even warns you that you only get to chose one faction on your account. Otherwise you would be switching sides all the time.

Silly. It's not like you can change sides with the same character. I can't think of a single RPG where you have to create an entirely new account just to create another character on a different faction.

Talk about a huge account mess for Com2. People with multiple accounts so they can play with their friends from different factions.

Not really because you are supposed to pick one side and stick with it. And most people plan ahead which faction they are going to choose to play with their friends, not to mention the fact that you can still play together at the beach or forest in game with your friends even if they are from different factions.

I don't see the point though. Of couse it makes sense that you can't swap back and forth between factions on your current character. But if you want to create a new character and try out the other faction or join new friends, etc.. why the heck not? I can't even create a new account now since my only home email address is registered with my other account. So I have to delete the ranger I've been working on for a week to go Lanos? That's ridiculous

It makes sense, you aren't supposed to switch factions. The game warns you of this ahead of time. If you want to make a new account then make a new email address and use that. I do understand your frustration however and can understand why you would want a feature like this implemented in the game.

You can't speak or party with those in other factions.

The good thing about it is it's server specefic. Meaning on BIGMOMMA sever you can be for Lanos but be Siras on a different server. The way it works out this way is so there is no one who is switching to give positions away or cheating. This means no deleting characters or needing more then 1 account. IF you want to join the other faction you just need to create characters on the other servers.
