Point of doing the quest?

I'm not sure how many quests there are, but what is the significance of this first storyline quest? Kind of on the fence about doing it, as I'm lazy, haha, is there anything you get from it that's significant? That's worth doing.

First main quest allows you to enter Lighthouse. Its a must if you plan on levelling past level 16.

After you get to the lighthouse. Try to get madger belt. It's stats is very useful. Also do the ring of soul(dex+2) quest.If your a Mage then trade the ring of soul for ring of virgin(int+2) :)
