Removing offensive names

In response to our player’s requests, we are taking actions for removing offensive nicknames.

Players with nicknames containing profanity must change their name by January 31st. Failure to do so will cause an automatic change in your name. Changing your nickname will cost 1,000 goldballs and can be done within the game.

If you think your name might be offending certain groups of people, we advise you to change the name. We'll have the sole right to decide if the name should be considered to be containing profanity.

Thanks for listening to the diehard players that enjoy your game so much. One question that I have as far as the imposed language filter that will go into effect Jan. 31st is, will it include nicknames that have sexual innuendoes & the nicknames that have racial remarks?? Examples of some nicknames that include sexual references include "P-nisboy" & "C-nteater". An example of one with both profanity & racial remarks is "Fcknggers". Again thanks for responding to our concerns.

My question to you is will this filter include the crude misuse of body parts in nicknames & racial remarks that are also inappropriate because technically these are not considered profanity?? This is the best way I know how to write this because I wrote an earlier post that was rejected because of the language that I used I guess...

Good job Com2uS I was a beta tester for this game, and slowly began to notice these extremely crude and at times disgusting names begin to grow!

Com2us u really need to do somethng about this! All u hav to do is track these dudes listed on the cheater list n u will c that ther not even playn any1.

4 second games and gaining 1000's of points in a couple of days. If ur not gona change the point system at least do somethng about the cheaters!

Just a suggestion people that rank in the top 20 shouldnt b penalized by playn people who r so close in rank in the top 20...Like when i play Ranman rankd 8 he loses 19 but if i lose D4real rankd 12 i only lose 1...Although i like that i gain so many points for the victory ,but it limits the times i can play him! Because the risk out weighs the reward!!! We shouldnt b penalized for playn the best comp on here u should only b penalized for playing BUMS!!!! The point system is kinda garbage if u ask me.

We are going to filter the crude misuse of body parts in nicknames & racial remarks that are also inappropriate. We will get reports from players who saw players having offensive names and judge then we will change it.

This is getting out of hand with guys who have nuthin better to do...hitting u up with back 2 back challenges all day n nite....knowing your not gona play them!

Its common sense if im in the top 20 and your ranked 10,000, 20,000 or 30,000 its a good chance im not gona play u! If u got a paid uniform n your not in the top 20 its about 99.9% chance im not gona play u! So get over it. Go bug some1 else...Thats the problem when u let kids play these games with no rules.

So com2us please make some sort of system that we can block these bugaboo's!!!!!!!!!

Who wants to play a game when they see that most people dnt even play anymore they just use a secondary device and pile up the points and move up the ranks gaining 100's of points a day, and sometimes 1000's!

What fun is it for them to spend hours not even playing anybody just cheating! Its obvious its lil kids bcuz i cant c a grown man doin this but i could b wrong...

As far as the top 20 it means nuthin anymore because almost all these dudes are cheaters! And if u dnt believe me just track ther games and watch how fast they pile up the points! When we all no being in the top 20 points are hard to come by!

Hi redsoxrule,

As a beta tester, perhaps you are privy to information that the rest of us aren't, but when you state that you're sure that Come2us is aware of this list and is dealing with it, how do we know that. It has been weeks now that those of us who are passionate players have been practically begging the company to do something about the cheaters who are ruining this wonderful game, yet we rarely get any response from the company. Once in a while they will post that they are looking into the cheating issue, but again, it has been weeks now and nothing has been done, and now the majority of the top 20 players are cheaters, and it continues to get worse. As soon as the company starting getting some pressure from a sponsor about profane names, they immediately took action, so we know that they are able to get the appropriate changes made if they want to. For those of us who play the game everyday, it is very easy to identify the cheaters who pick up hundreds of points at a time using two devices, and the list that D4real posted is 100% accurate. So may I ask why you have a problem with listing these known cheaters, especially when as far as we know, the company is doing little or nothing about it? I'm just another player who is passionate about the game and don't want to see it destroyed by unscrupulous cheaters. Thank you for time.

I'm fine with the list being posted however it has been posted multiple times in multiple threads. On top of it all this thread isn't even about the cheating names, this is about offensive names. So please if possible could we just keep the list in the threads discussing them?

P.S. I think your BoSox will really miss Jason Bay. He's a class act who just keeps his mouth shut and knocks in tons of runs, and he's good in the clutch, too. I live in Philly, so I saw him quite a bit in the N.L. when he was with the Pirates, and I will see him even more now that he is with the Mets!
