View Full Version : Winning but not winning

FROM FAQ:

In the current system, the player whose data reaches our server first is regarded as a winner and he / she will see "white flash" in the game. However, there can be time differences according to users' network conditions and regions. Even though we already applied every effort to improve the network conditions, it seems that there is an inevitable limit of 3G network itself. We are trying our best to come up with the solution even in a long term.

__________________________________________________ _____________

Solution: if Steam can come up with a buffer so that players with slower connections can compete with faster connections, surely COM2US can do it. I am tired of getting the white flash then looking at the other player's screen and see him either still swinging, swinging and missing and then I come up the loser.....there's gotta be a way to balance the connection speeds.

Nowhere in the FAQs that Greenhorn quotes, does Come2us state what the real problem is which causes those frustrating "winning yet not winning" games.
Come2us likes to talk about "limitations within 3g which are beyond our control", but many players are on wi-fi, so this 3g nonsense is just a smokescreen for the real problem.
The REAL problem is that Come2us has only one server, and it is located in Asia. An Asian player's information gets to the server 7-8 times faster than a player from North America. So if you are an American playing a close match with an Asian player, you have very little chance to win the game, because of their proximity to the server, even though you may be certain that you've outplayed your opponent and you've received the winning flash.
And this server issue is not only a problem in matches between Asians and Americans. Anyone who is closer to the server than his opponent has a distinct advantage.
There are over 1 million players who have purchased this app, and many of us have purchased $ 20 uniforms. Don't you think it's about time that you make the game fair and put a server in the US as well, instead of continuing to insult our intellegence by telling us about 3g issues which you can't control?

I'm so freaking pissed right now you can't even imagine how i feel.i lost like 5 matches which technically I really won but somehow the other player gets the win,go figure.

I'm sick and tired of playing online when the odds are always stacked against me for some reason.
And also another thing that i noticed is that once the other player gets a cycle all of a sudden he goes in to a hyper mode where he hits the ball and than hits another and another .His bar just keeps moving while I'm still waiting for my first ball to land.

UNBELIEVABLE that is all i can say.

Hahaha.... If you are so unhappy, quit playing then.

I believe if you got skills, server is only a small issue. Many times I lost the match only because I failed to deliver in the critical moment. I have against Asia players many times. Yes, sometimes I do feel they have advantage over me. However, many times when I play good, and they don't even fill half of the bar (a little bit of luck with x2 and x3 balls). Besides, look at this way, if the server is a big advantage for them, then you should see the top 20 players are all Korean already. Which is not happening.

Ill quit when i think is time do so but i do have a right to complain since i paid for this game out of my pocket and not yours.
How can i win when the opponent hits 3 balls and I'm still waiting for my first one to land, tell me please genius.
i made a rule for my self to not play against Asian players so now I'm doing much better.
But I think that takes away from the fun that this game is suppose to deliver.
I wish i could play everyone without avoiding certain players but such is life.
And as far as x2 and x3 balls for some reason unknown to me i rarely get them.Mostly I get thrown at me the skull balls and some other crap.

I wont be holding my breath trust me.

^ There's not such a thing as "x3" balls in the Matchup Mode.

I also 'won' a few matches today but technically I was the loser in the end. Crap, I know I'll be back tomorrow still playing this game.

Today is one of those days that I simply am not allowed to beat most anyone. If I'm not at least a half bar in front, I can be pretty well assured I'll hit the finish line - then snap back to play mode with a 1/5th to a 1/4 of my bar reduced - and a loss. I think the US West Coast is just about as far as one can get from the server, it seems.

I'm upgrading my phone this week and I've decided not to carry this app over. I may use the old phone as a wifi game device, but for all intents and purposes, Bleaf is retiring, cynical and fed up.

Not that anyone cares. But if you were on the fence, let me tell you, walking away from this source of occasional fun and constant irritation is pretty liberating.

I'll always remember sneaking that single win in against Kabang. You wanted to play me, and you did. Best eat-$h!^ moment, ever.

Bye.

I totally relate to you my friend and I'm feeling frustrated when i start playing this game.
I think the point system is a major problem in this game.I have to wait anywhere from 5-7 minutes just to find someone to play that has the same rank as I cause I can't play against lower ranked player and risk loosing more points.
I learned not to play against Asian players cause they for some reason go in to super mode after a cycle and start hitting ball after ball without any cut scenes in between.
And don't get me started about the black screen of death and today i kept getting disconnected out of the blue while in the middle of a play costing me points.
I know it is just a game but then a game should not make some people frustrated and angry .
I enjoy this game while playing the offline modes which is quiet fun to play.

But take care anyway!

this game has got to be the most unfair game i ever played. u have no chance against someone with a fast server. i live in hawaii and ranked 2000 this morning. it's now dropped to 4000 thanks to the koreans. i can hit a flawless game with no strikes or fouls and they can have 3 strikes or fouls and still win.

^ That's why i try to avoid playing Asians, not only Koreans.
