"Player Card '11"... in 2013

Anyone else getting these random 2011 cards?

I got a "Gio Gonzalez '11" and an "Alex Avila '11"

Maybe I can get a Mickey Mantle '56

Yeah I think radfreak mentioned that it is only "monster" seasons of active players. So we won't get McGgwire '98 or Maris '61 or anything like that. It's common to see these cards in the online store for outrageous prices. They're marginally better than current cards, except for Carlos Lee's '07 card because he's garbage now.

Edit: playing the All Star teams is playing platinum versions of each of the "monster" season cards. The AL has a 130 POW '04 Beltre :scared:

I think it's pretty bad ass

I have quite afew "throwback" cards

And seen some real nice ones when I played the the nl and al all-star teams
In the special challenge mode I will get around to posting some of the ones I remember
And the ones I have hell tomorrow I will play the all-star teams again and post all the players and there stats I know I faced I think a 09 hamels he was throwing 105

Actually K-version has something like 91-2001 and it's called "Legend Card" - retired player only.

That particular thing is another thing I really hoping to see in MLB 2013 version, but They left that part out... (due to some legal issue I guess)

I'm sure MLB version of so called "Legend" requires little more than MLBPA contract. They probably need to contact each Legend player to get permission and that's way more hassle... and more $$$.

If somehow they pull off "Legend" card in 2013, I want to see Bo Jackson!
