Suggestion: Use notifications

I like notifications for apps. The thing is you can only alert the player of one thing and it would be for all their characters.

The only idea i can think of that would be important enough to take that spot would be selling items in the auction house.

If you sold 3 items while you were away (on all chars) you would have a 3 for notification etc.

Anyone have a better idea of what notifications would be good for?
